The Carleton is pleased to host Bruce Marchand as he celebrates the release of his very first album Grace, Hope and Mercy, backed by The Black Market Band (Christine Campbell & Blake Johnston), with special guests The megNdave Band. The show gets underway 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 24th. After accommodating invited guests, we are able to offer a limited number of standing room tickets to the public on this special occasion: $25 + HST, with all proceeds going to Feed Nova Scotia. Join the party! Bruce Marchand is an East Coast storytelling singer/songwriter blending folk-rock and a touch of blues into music born of life experience and deep connections. Commenting on his songwriting and debut album, Grace, Hope and Mercy, Bruce says: "I write about hungry hearts, destined and elusive love, passion and promise, solitude and seduction, regret and resilience, foreshadow and forgiveness. Each song on this album carries one or more elements of that and a touch of grace, hope and mercy." Megan Farquhar and David Graves (megNdave) are a duo of multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriters who deliver strong vocal harmonies and original music inspired by their life journey together in their home province of Nova Scotia. Performing as "The megNdave Band", they are joined by Norman Hill on bass and Greg Hildebrand on drums.
