Please join us for a reading and discussion with author Anne Emery to celebrate the launch of her new book, Declan. Anne Emery is a lawyer and the author of the Collins-Burke mystery series. She has won the Crime Writers of Canada awards for Best Novel and Best First Novel, the Dartmouth Book Award for Fiction, and an Independent Publishers silver medal. In this story, Anne Emery returns with another mystery. Father Brennan Burke's father, Declan, gathered up his family and fled Ireland under the cover of night four decades ago, after disobeying an order from his commanding officer in the IRA. Declan has not set foot in Ireland since. Until now. But there are men in the shadows who are knowing, and waiting to settle old scores.
